JM was great ... a real boost - confidence is the heart of any of this
some things to consider for next time .... not all our gigs will represent this level of opportunity but we need to prepared ... even the next grace gig
... giving away c.d.s is a good move - people took them (we should make some inserts that point them to our website)
... we need to have enough "cards" (is the connection to www.sleepless.com.au clear enough?)
... all our "promotional material" is old (c.d.s and even the semephore cards - do they say what we want them to say/represent?)
... it was a missed opportunity to start an email list (a clip board passed around the punters) - that way we can inform people about our movements/gigs and they will be people who actually care
... some effort in presentation posters/dress/backdrop - demonstrates confidence
... the artisans expected people to show up - we need to make it our goal to expect people to turn up
... we should play with the Atrisans again
... we should track down as many of the punters form Saturday night as we can (starting with biss and janet)
... I will make myspace friends with anyone that we met (no through road etc)
... we need to get on the radio - Matt can pull some strings with Karl (I would like to do an interview/on air thing) - 3D
... I have some ideas about the poster for the Grace gig but would appreciate some help from Fiona in making it look good
... I have put up a "camera" myspace site so that any punters whose only connection to us is the e.p. may have a chance of connecting to us ... www.myspace.com/cameratreasure
... I want to nail our set before we set out into "new stuff" ... if we get it right before the Grace gig then we will have earned a "creative session" but I think that time is precious and we also have the triffids gig to get right
... I think that some well chosen covers are a good idea ... not the wedding present or the vasalines though ...
